2018 06 Paper: Murum HEP Governor System

The 944MW Murum Hydroelectric Plant (HEP) is located 200 km from Bintulu, in the upper Rajang River basin, Sarawak, East Malaysia. The project was developed by state-owned Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) as part of the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE)’s initiative. The construction began in 2008 and the power station was fully operational by middle of 2015, delivering power into the state grid. It consists of a main dam, a power intake, a power station consisting of four vertical shaft Francis Turbines (4x 236MW) and generators.
